THERAPY FOR ADHD/Autism (AuDHD)

Reconnect to yourself.

Does this resonate with you?

Do you suspect that you have ADHD or autism (formerly known as Asperger's), or that your mind has always worked a little differently? Do you feel like your suspected diagnosis is holding you back?

Whether it's relationship problems, job issues, or just feeling overwhelmed and disorganized, sometimes it can feel like you just can’t get it right, despite tremendous effort. Let's work together to change those negative self beliefs and create a new narrative.

Let’s start rewriting the stories you tell yourself.

Imagine a life where you can feel confident in both neurotypical and neurodivergent spaces.

Therapy is an opportunity to map out what’s standing in your way and feel empowered.

In our work, you’ll learn how to recognize your inner strengths and needs. You’ll become confident asking for what you want or need (and saying “no” to what you don’t). And you’ll have the tools & practices to take back control of the messages you tell yourself.

What we’ll work on:

  • Regulate emotions

  • Self-awareness of sensory needs

  • Communication skills

  • Gain community

  • Gain self-compassion and learn to feel confident in navigating neurotypical environments

  • Lean into your strengths.

  • Develop strategies that will reduce the feeling of needing to “mask”.

  • Learn ways we mask and unmask

  • Understand AuDHD Paradoxes and how to cope with them

FAQS

What others have wondered about therapy for ADHD/Autism?

  • The range of differences in individual brain function and behavioral traits, is regarded as part of normal variation in the human population (used especially in the context of autistic spectrum disorders). Neurodiversity can look like Autism, ADHD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, sensory issues, Tourette’s syndrome, or a learning disability like dyslexia.

  • With ADHD/Autism there is no “cure” but can learn to live with our unique brains and live a good life. Neurodivergent folks can understand their needs and learn to regulate.

  • AuDHD paradoxes refer to the seemingly contradictory traits that show up when someone is both autistic and has ADHD. These paradoxes can confuse others—and even the person experiencing them—because behaviors may appear to conflict depending on context, energy, environment, or task.

Here are a few common examples:

    • Hyperfocus vs. Inattention: You can deeply focus on special interests for hours, yet struggle to pay attention during a short conversation or task.

    • Need for structure vs. Rejection of routine: You may crave predictability but feel suffocated by strict schedules or external expectations.

    • Low energy but restless: You feel physically tired or mentally foggy, yet your body or mind won’t slow down.

    • Sensory seeking and avoiding: You might love strong stimulation (like music or movement) but also get overwhelmed by certain sounds, lights, or textures.

    • Overcommunicating and shutdowns: You might talk excessively in one moment and go completely nonverbal or withdrawn the next.

What if we’re not broken—just different? What if the problem isn’t us, but a world that only values one way of thinking, sensing, and being?
