Assessments

These tools don’t give a diagnosis on their own, but they give us valuable information about your patterns, strengths, and challenges, which we then combine with the interviews and overall assessment.

RAADS-R (Ritvo Autism Asperger Diagnostic Scale – Revised): Looks at lifelong traits related to autism, especially in adults who may have been overlooked in childhood.

AQ (Autism Spectrum Quotient): A shorter screener that measures social preferences, attention to detail, and how someone processes information compared to typical patterns.

Monotropism Questionnaire: A newer tool that explores how strongly someone focuses their attention and interests, which is a common feature of autistic experience.

Brown ADD Scales: Measures attention and executive functioning challenges like focus, organization, memory, and emotional regulation—often used for ADHD.

ASRS-1 (Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale): A screening tool for ADHD that checks symptoms like inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity.

SRS-2 (Social Responsiveness Scale): Looks at social communication and behaviors in everyday life, helping to see how autism-related traits show up in different settings.

Sensory Profile: Explores how you respond to sensory input (like sounds, textures, lights, or movement) to see if certain sensitivities or preferences affect daily life.

Disclaimer

We do not provide neuropsychological testing.

What we do provide is an autism assessment conducted by a licensed master’s-level therapist. Our assessment focuses on:

  • Clinical interview

  • Behavioral observation

  • Standardized questionnaires

  • Developmental history

This process can clarify whether you meet criteria for autism and help guide next steps for therapy, self-understanding, and support.

Please note: If you require documentation for state or federal disability benefits, professional exam accommodations, or regional center services, this assessment will not meet those requirements. During your free intro call, we’ll review your goals for seeking a diagnosis. If your needs fall outside the scope of our services, we will provide referrals to qualified providers.
